I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to follow user activity on our website, and yesterday I recalled a superb social extension called BuddyPress.
It has dozen of features which can make WordPress site more social. We even don’t need all of them, but some might be useful.
New features:
- login widget on main page
- registration with custom field to write something about you
- custom profiles with avatars
- activity stream
- members list
- private messages between members
All without the need to enter the administration side of website.
I am going to spend some more time making it nice, but for now the functionality is important.
I hope you will like it and find it useful. Any comments and suggestions appreciated.
